Statement of the problem

While appreciating the multidisciplinary theme of our Kenyatta University, Mombasa Campus, and Conference: Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Sustainability, we invite scholars and researchers to creatively respond to the interface between the duo entities, and its application to the lived realities of the 21^st century.

Consequently, this invites the researchers from socio-human and physical sciences to come in their respective fashions and solve cosmological challenges by utilising the above framework. In other words, what is the place of Indigenous Knowledge Systems in the light of Sustainability in the 21^st century? How can we engage IKS to guarantee sustainability of our people? This leads us to the topics or sub themes listed below:

Theme: Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Sustainability

The deliberations of the conference will revolve around the following sub-themes:

3. Education and school curriculums.
4. Artificial Intelligence, Library and information science and; the era of Informetric techniques/Studies.
